Julia is a full-time fine artist, working primarily in acrylic and acrylic mixed media. She works from her dedicated home studio in New Westminster, BC, where she creates her semi-abstracted, textural, coastal landscapes inspired by Nature and the atmospheric ocean vistas, mountains and forests of British Columbia. She is open to commissions and working with the Trade.
Julia's work has been featured worldwide, by places such as HGTV Canada, Etsy Canada, Global TV Breakfast Show, CTV Morning Show Calgary, Apartment Therapy, Grand Designs Magazine UK, Western Living Magazine, etc. Julia's art has also been used by the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC., as well as charitable organizations. Her art can be found in major hotels, restaurants, etc.
My aim is to capture brief moments in Nature's enduring history and translate them, along with the emotions they evoke within me, into paint on canvas. Sublime and somewhat veiled. Art allows us, as humans, to explore the mystery of the world around us and seek out tangible answers."
