This piece is part of a diptych, with each small painting measuring 8" x 8" on its own. Together, the diptych measures 8" x 16", when placed side by side. It was inspired both by a sense of whimsical and emotional inspiration, as well as my love of Vancouver's coastal vistas and seascapes. The vibrant colour palette is more reflective of my imagination than reality, but the warm colours nod to the beauty of sunset over the water, as well. It's textural and organic, with a vibrant contemporary appeal.
