This piece is a vibrant and contemporary, abstracted coastal seascape/landscape. While the details and representational elements are obscured, the cool tones, flowing sense of movement, organic textures and oceanic palette nod to the sea. As an artist living near Vancouver, BC, along the Pacific Northwest coast, I am very inspired by the atmospheric and endlessly changing beauty of the ocean. It's so full of life, vibrancy and mystery; and I aim to capture and explore fragments of that in my work. This painting is acrylic with textural mediums, created on 1.5" deep gallery stretched canvas. The sides are painted in a coordinating pale mint green tone, it's coated multiple times with UV-protective gloss varnish, and is dated/signed/titled on the back. Wired and ready-to-hang.

"My aim is to capture brief moments in Nature's enduring history and translate them, along with the emotions they evoke within me, into paint on canvas. Sublime and somewhat veiled. Art allows us, as humans, to explore the mystery of the world around us and seek out tangible answers.""
