This piece is a semi-abstracted coastal landscape inspired by the untouched beauty of British Columbia's natural scenery. It's a stylized piece, reflecting both the physical landscape itself and my personal, introspective journey through it. As an artist, I am comfortable with my own company, being alone and apart from others while I work, reflecting on landscapes and my purpose here during this short journey called life. Painting atmospheric and moody landscapes allows me to contemplate, appreciating the brief temporal moment each human occupies on this planet. It reminds me that we must explore, appreciate and make the most of that time. This piece is painted on 1.5" deep gallery stretched canvas, is painted in a dark blue-black on the sides, and is finished with a high-gloss varnish. It's titled, signed and dated on the back.

"My aim is to capture brief moments in Nature's enduring history and translate them, along with the emotions they evoke within me, into paint on canvas. Sublime and somewhat veiled. Art allows us, as humans, to explore the mystery of the world around us and seek out tangible answers.""
