This piece is a semi-abstracted coastal landscape/skyscape, full of movement, whimsical brushstrokes and texture. Like with many of my recent pieces, it captures the landscape as a brief moment in time, ever-changing but ever-present, compared to the brief period each human occupies on this planet. I capture the landscape from my solitary perspective during my short journey through this life, appreciating its grandeur and mystery. This painting is created with acrylic paint and additional mediums, including tissue paper, salt and texture medium, to create the overall effect. It's painted on 1.5" deep gallery stretched canvas, and is finished with high-gloss varnish for a rich sheen, and the sides are painted in a coordinating soft blue-grey tone. The painting is titled, signed and dated on the back.

"My aim is to capture brief moments in Nature's enduring history and translate them, along with the emotions they evoke within me, into paint on canvas. Sublime and somewhat veiled. Art allows us, as humans, to explore the mystery of the world around us and seek out tangible answers.""
