Joie Paré AFC
Westbridge, British Columbia
Living in the West Kootenays of British Columbia, Joie draws her inspiration from everything around her. She strives to capture the emotions of the scenes she paints. From the calmness of a forest to the moodiness of a stormy sky. She paints the animals in her pieces as a kind of accessory to the landscape. She also loves to paint “action scenes” where she captures the power, movement and tenacity her chosen subject is experiencing. Always looking for a challenge in her work, she likes to paint something a little bit different than what one may expect.
I love to capture the serenity of nature. So the viewer can feel the emotions of places less seen in everyday life. Whether it’s a tenacious grizzly chasing salmon, or a lounging deer in a cool shadowy forest. I want people to feel what I do when I paint.
