About the Artwork

“Clear Water”
I wanted to paint a picture of reflective water that also you can see into. The angle of light gives great refraction and sparkle on this rocky river pool. There is life everywhere, and even here, if you look closely, there is quite a bit in a small frame. The texture of the stones, with their wet and dry surfaces along with the smooth clear water was wonderful to paint. I love the changes that happen in my mind when I paint like this. I hope to have it come through to the viewer as well.

Joie Paré AFC

Westbridge, British Columbia

Joie paints wildlife in acrylic on canvas with detailed realism. Focusing on Canadian landscapes and animals.

"I love to capture the serenity of nature. So the viewer can feel the emotions of places less seen in everyday life. Whether it’s a tenacious grizzly chasing salmon, or a lounging deer in a cool shadowy forest. I want people to feel what I do when I paint."
