A cormorant spreads its wings on a sharp rocky shoreline. The cool misty air, the churning water and the hard rock give a sensation the viewer can almost feel. Clear salty air that is filled with moisture it beads on your face. Being from the west coast of British Columbia, this has always been a feeling I love when I go back to the rugged areas of the coast. I wanted to do a simple painting that was the epitome of this feeling.

"I love to capture the serenity of nature. So the viewer can feel the emotions of places less seen in everyday life. Whether it’s a tenacious grizzly chasing salmon, or a lounging deer in a cool shadowy forest. I want people to feel what I do when I paint."
