I wanted to paint an action scene between crows and a mature bald eagle. Normally an apex predator, I wanted to show the scales tipped the other way when an eagle flies too close to a crow’s rookery. Overwhelmed by the chaos of black, the eagle flees.

"I love to capture the serenity of nature. So the viewer can feel the emotions of places less seen in everyday life. Whether it’s a tenacious grizzly chasing salmon, or a lounging deer in a cool shadowy forest. I want people to feel what I do when I paint."
