A mother bobcat pauses in the fading evening light as her kittens amble over and around a moss covered log. One kitten in particular has taken to great heights to impress his siblings.
The colours and soft textures give this painting a comforting feel. The time of day and the mood of the mother bobcat add to that feeling.
I wanted to place the star of the painting in the rays of light, as if to highlight his bravery. The other kittens look up at him in awe and wonder.

"I love to capture the serenity of nature. So the viewer can feel the emotions of places less seen in everyday life. Whether it’s a tenacious grizzly chasing salmon, or a lounging deer in a cool shadowy forest. I want people to feel what I do when I paint."
