Geoffrey Nagel

Geoff Nagel, is an Okanagan BC-based oil painter specializing in landscapes, portraits, and figure studies. He draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the Western Canadian landscape and from his travels around the globe.
Nagel began painting at 11 by copying the works of his grandmother and great-grandmother, but he learned composition through photography while working for the Eastman Kodak company as an engineer. Retired from the cubicle work, Nagel has rededicated himself to his first calling, painting. In 2021, his painting, A Beautiful Day to Be Outside, won the 1st Prize of Excellence in the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) 53rd Open International Juried Exhibition. Elected to the SCA in 2024, Nagel is also an Exhibiting Member of FCA.
