"Monkey Pods" celebrates this shade tree found throughout the grasslands of Kauai, HI. Originally from Africa, European settlers brought these trees - known for their sprawling crowns - to the Hawaiian Islands to protect their cattle from the tropical sun. This south shore view looks north towards cloud shrouded Wai'ale'ale volcano, the rainest place on earth.
