Jeanette Orydzuk
Prince George, British Columbia
Jeanette's motivation for making art comes from the never ending challenges that making art provides. It allows her to continue to be a student in her life.
While working primarily in acrylics she is always open to picking up her oils or pulling out the graphite or soft pastels, or adding collage materials. Adding highly texturized surfaces to her substrates before even taking out the paints is a great joy for her. Like many artists she is always influenced by nature and very much enjoys plein air painting in the summer months. In the studio she works mostly from imagination and memory to acheive a feeling tone in the work, rather than a precisely realistic image.

I allow myself to be versatile with media and styles because it helps me feel alive while creating and opens me up to new ideas for more work.
