I live inland and always enjoy every moment I get to be by the ocean. This image is a memory of looking towards Vancouver Island. I find working from my memory allows me to achieve a more emotional connection with the image than I do working any other way. In today’s world of staying put, I’ve so enjoyed visiting my memories.

Jeanette Orydzuk
Prince George, British Columbia
Jeanette uses her art to understand who she is and her place in the world. She works mostly from memory and imagination to acheive the feeling tone of an image rather than a realistic one.
"I allow myself to be versatile with media and styles because it helps me feel alive while creating and opens me up to new ideas for more work."
