This path around Ferguson Lake is one of my favourite places to go when I need a break. It’s very near to where I lived as a child and where I now live again. It was a wild area back then, no path around it. Just a big old sawdust pile housing plenty of garter snakes for teenage fun. Today the area is a regional park with well tended paths, picnic tables and a dock. The sawdust pile has long been hauled away.

Jeanette uses her art to understand who she is and her place in the world. She works mostly from memory and imagination to acheive the feeling tone of an image rather than a realistic one.
"I allow myself to be versatile with media and styles because it helps me feel alive while creating and opens me up to new ideas for more work."
