My works depict the rural Canadian landscape as I see and feel it, full of colour, light, and positive energy. My inspiration comes from adventuring through rural Ontario, chasing the light. I prefer to paint fast and intuitively, working mainly with large scale canvases using my own reference photos. I also enjoy experimenting with smaller studies and painting en plein air. I gravitate to the golden hour, trees, paths, rolling fields, big skies, and water. My adventures help bring me into the present moment and fill me wonder, excitement, hope, joy, calm and beauty.
