About the Artwork

"View of the Grand River" captures a daytime scene along the river here in Haldimand County. I was inspired by the edge of the shoreline and the shifting colours within the water itself. In some areas the river takes on cooler blue and purple tones, while in others it reflects the warmer earthy brown colours the Grand River is known for.

This particular spot is often visited by local fishermen.

Kerry Walford

Cayuga, Ontario

I am an impressionistic landscape painter living in Cayuga, Ontario with my hubby Adam, daughter Clementine and our feisty Pug Rommie. I paint and teach art classes in our historic 1840's brick farmhouse named Wildwood.

"I strive to live in the-moment, find beauty in the storm, take chances, dream big, make mistakes, dust myself off, and abide by the law of attraction; you are what you think so why not think up a big, beautiful landscape!"
