This little piece was painted on location during a family camping trip to Killarney. We canoed to this spot from our campsite and I set up my easel while my hubby and daughter spent the day jumping off the rocks and swimming. It was one of those perfect summer days — sunny, quiet, and full of joy.
These two leaning pines caught my eye right away. I loved how they stood side by side, growing from the rock like a little pair. The soft pink granite, the still green water, and the rhythm of the trees felt so calm and grounding.
Painting out there with my feet on the rock and the sounds of the lake around me was such a treat. This one will always remind me of that day — simple, beautiful, and full of love.
