Depending on how the eye enters the work, the red line tells two different stories. From the left, the path begins strong and certain — steady, almost inevitable — before faltering into fragility, interruption, and doubt. It is the feeling of stumbling through a turning point, when footing is no longer secure and direction is less clear. Much of life’s turbulence echoes this, as once-solid ground gives way beneath us.
