Along the coast of British Columbia, boundaries are rarely fixed. Shoreline becomes mist, water becomes sky, and weather continually reshapes the landscape before our eyes. Inspired by the coastal landscapes of British Columbia, Weathered Boundaries explores the shifting edge where land, sea, and sky meet. Here, weather is not simply something we experience; it is a force that continually shapes the shoreline, softens horizons, and transforms the way we see the natural world.
Layers of turquoise, blue-grey, and muted earth tones suggest tidal flats, distant horizons, shifting cloud cover, and the fleeting light that appears between passing storms. Drips, veils, and scraped passages echo the effects of rain, wind, and time on the landscape. The work seeks to capture the feeling of standing at the water’s edge and watching familiar forms dissolve and re-emerge as weather moves through.
