About the Artwork

“Time doesn't seem to pass here: it just is.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

The mood of this artwork is reminiscent for me of so many wonderful evenings, standing on the dock at sunset gazing out at the timeless, yet ever-changing sky and lake reflections. The loons call down the lake; the water laps against the shore; the beaver and ducks swim by each leaving a V-shaped wake that temporarily breaks up the still water. No matter how often I return to the scene, I reconnect to the timeless quality of being and of nature.
