Canopy emerged as I experimented with unconventional tools and gestural marks, letting intuition guide my hand. I was drawn to a restrained palette of teal and blue, colours that for me carry both serenity and quiet strength. As the layers unfolded, I began to see the feeling of standing beneath trees—branches reaching upward, light filtering through leaves. This piece isn’t so much about depicting nature as it is about my own experience of being held within it, gazing into mystery and light.
