What Passes Between Us explores the invisible currents that move between us: words, memories, affinities, differences, things understood and things left unsaid. A narrow divide remains, but does not prevent connection. Perhaps it is part of what makes connection meaningful: we remain distinct, yet continually find ways to reach across the spaces between us.
Two distinct panels hold their own ground, yet colour, gesture and movement continually reach across the space between them. The surface itself carries a history: layers have been worked over, obscured and transformed, with traces of what came before still contributing to what has emerged. Perhaps what passes between us is never only what is visible in the present; we bring our histories with us. Passages of turquoise, rust and dark charcoal create moments of connection, tension and exchange. The physical space between the panels becomes an active part of the composition. It is not simply a divide, but a place across which something continues to pass.
