About the Artwork

Rather than depicting the rose in bloom, this piece examines its internal structure. Fragmented collage elements suggest petals, stem, and tension points, embedded within a dark, resistant field. The work focuses on the mechanics of ascent—how beauty relies on fracture, friction, and support to rise.
