This painting was inspired by my expedition into the eastern Yukon toward the Nahanni Range, where vast marshes and wetlands stretch across the northern tundra.
In this large studio work, I capture the quiet transformation of autumn, as these understated landscapes turn into a rich tapestry of golds, reds, and greens—a fleeting burst of colour before the long northern winter arrives.
