About the Artwork
Original painting based on the painting trip to Jasper National Park. Maligne Lake with Spirit Island within its waters is one of the most iconic images of the Canadian landscape. It was my goal to capture it in dynamic light using a series of complementary contrasts to illustrate the joy experienced when visiting this special and sacred location.
