This painting draws inspiration from a collection of plein air sketches and canoe journeys on the lakes of Northern Ontario. The rugged beauty of the Precambrian Canadian Shield, adorned with windswept pines, epitomizes the iconic imagery of Eastern Canada. Painting this subject matter holds a special significance for me, as it reconnects me with my early days of exploring and painting landscapes in Canada.
