About the Artwork

This mixed media work traces the quiet movement beneath surfaces—where energy travels, pigment pools, and something luminous begins to emerge. Turquoise washes, earthen tones, and delicate mark-making suggest organic pathways—like veins in stone or roots in soil—while a subtle shimmer of interference violet weaves through the composition, catching the light like a whispered memory.

Threaded with Violet Light explores the unseen lines that nourish and connect—the emotional, geological, and spiritual threads that run beneath our awareness. A meditation on presence, intuition, and the slow revelation of what lies within.

Myriam Laberge, AFCA

Delta, British Columbia

Myriam Laberge’s acrylic and mixed media artworks combine colour, texture, and story, blending spontaneity with design to express her imaginative perspective on nature and abstraction. I work with acrylic, collage, and mixed media, weaving textured abstraction, symbolic pattern, and expressive gesture.

"My artworks are visual stories of the beauty, surprise, and emotion I find in nature, memory, and the human experience."
