Passed by this field so many times walking my daughter to and from school. Every once in a while this sweet creature would come up and beg us to pick her the grass just off limits on the other side, despite the wealth of green goodness on her side of the fence.

Michelle Brown, AFCA

Abbotsford, British Columbia

Michelle Brown's creative journey began in early childhood, shaped by a rare throat disorder that made art her primary communication. From those formative years, she developed a deep appreciation for visual expression, leading to art lessons at the age of 10 and later pursuing art education at the university level.

"Delicate petals, bursts of vibrant colour, majestic mountains, and quirky animals - these wonders drive me to paint. Each day in my growing garden, family hikes, and scenic travels brings something new that inspires me."
