My painting Berrylicious was inspired by the Saskatoon bushes growing wild along the edge of our property. Whether in my garden, puttering in the yard or exploring on a hike, I am overwhelmed by the beauty of nature, particularly the intricate details and colours of plants and rocks. It makes me want to slow down, soak in every detail, and share them with others.

Michelle Brown, AFCA
Abbotsford, British Columbia
Michelle Brown's creative journey began in early childhood, shaped by a rare throat disorder that made art her primary communication. From those formative years, she developed a deep appreciation for visual expression, leading to art lessons at the age of 10 and later pursuing art education at the university level.
"Delicate petals, bursts of vibrant colour, majestic mountains, and quirky animals - these wonders drive me to paint. Each day in my growing garden, family hikes, and scenic travels brings something new that inspires me."
