C$1,350
Inspired by a window display near the Royal Ballet School at Covent Garden in London.
The display of used shoes reminded me of my childhood dreams of being a ballerina.
I remember my first pair of shoes. How thrilled I was to get a pair. They were so "girly", so feminine, so grown-up.
I, along with every little girl in class, dreamed of being on stage, in beautiful costumes, up on "pointe".
A charming reminiscence of an earlier time in my life.
