About the Artwork

The simple composition is centered around a classic wooden boat which the viewer has come across after dark. It is lit by an unseen light source, maybe from the marina. This allows viewers to focus entirely on the form and color interactions. The restrained use of colors also draws out a sense of calm and contemplative stillness, inviting introspection.
