In Cowichan Bay, on Vancouver Island, there is a small Maritime Museum. They often have lovely old wooden boats on display outside and tied to the dock.
This lovely old, restored boat was one of them. I love the elegant lines and the classic patina.
I have used Cowichan Bay boats as subjects in a few of paintings now and I'm happy to say that this one sold recently at Sooke Fine Arts.
