I’ve loved this image since I first saw it on the edge of a lake at twilight, as the tide of the pandemic turned and the world began to heal. The quiet dignity and courage expressed, the calm strength of the words, needed to be shared.

Karen works with acrylics and oils to evoke the colors, textures, shapes, and moods of natural subjects. She conveys the essence of light and colour using an impressionist-influenced realism style. Exploring nature provides Karen with inspiration and a desire to share the renewal and wonder experienced in these settings.
"Art offers a unique opportunity to enter a calm, contemplative space which harmonizes life’s dissonances. I hope that you find renewal, optimism and possibility in my art."
