About the Artwork
This painting was completed right after the COVID 19 lockdown. The ocean marine traffic on the Semiahmoo Bay was extremely quiet during this time period and we witnessed the whales coming closer to the pier and the shoreline like never before. This painting is of my husband and I, as we would often go down to the bay in the evening to watch the whales swim in the unusually quiet waters.
This piece will not be included in the physical exhibition on Granville Island but meets the quality standards of the FCA and is classified as, "Recognized Artwork."
