About the Artwork
During the past year and a bit, Covid 19 has greatly impacted the tourism industry as restrictions on travel were put in place by government to protect public health. The result has had many implications for small communities such as Salt Spring Island. This is a painting I produced in my art studio at home, as I longed to visit the island I have frequently visited for the past 30 years but could not do so at this time of travel restrictions.
This piece will not be included in the physical exhibition on Granville Island but meets the quality standards of the FCA and is classified as, "Recognized Artwork."
