Abby Wilson AFCA

Abby Wilson is an artist in Nelson, BC. Working in acrylic on canvas, Abby strives to
capture her love of Kootenay mountain landscapes with bright colours and bold shapes. She
spends as much time as possible hiking in the alpine all summer, often sketching in ink and
watercolour along the trail to plan future paintings.

I use colour and shape to push the structure of the mountains towards the surreal, striving to capture the feelings of otherworldly bliss and awe that come with exploring these wild places.
