About the Artwork

This beautiful view comes from a favourite West Kootenay hiking trail - Idaho Peak! The area is famous for its silver mining history, but today visitors can explore the top of the ridge for a panorama of wildflowers, mountain peaks, and distant Slocan Lake. After the road washed out, the only access is up a long hiking trail that traces an old mining route. The destination is worth the journey!
