Jennifer Heine SFCA
Richmond, British Columbia
Jennifer is a representational artist based in Richmond who has earned top recognition in juried exhibitions internationally. Her work reveals a love of nature, and a fascination with the transformative capacity of light. Raised in a family of notable British Columbia artists, her creative foundations were enhanced by studies in art and design at the University of Victoria, BCIT, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Over subsequent years Jennifer has earned international collectors and elected membership with both the Society of Canadian Artists, and as a Senior Member and Past Chair of the Federation of Canadian Artists. A dedicated advocate for the Arts, Jennifer embraces opportunities to share her experience through teaching and contributions to numerous charitable organizations.
I strive to give permanent form to fleeting moments of grace. Favouring organic subjects, I enjoy exploring the idiosyncrasies that distinguish an individual. My devotion to studying the specific character of light and and its ability of light to transmute the quotidien into something remarkable remains constant throughout.
