Jennifer Heine SFCA
Richmond, British Columbia
Jennifer is inspired by beauty encountered unexpectedly and continually developing her creative process. Her work reveals a love of nature, and a fascination with the ability of light to transmute the everyday into the sublime. Raised in a family of BC artists, her creative foundations were enhanced by studies at the University of Victoria, British Columbia institute of Technology, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Over three decades Jennifer has garnered recognition, international collectors and elected membership with both the Society of Canadian Artists and as a Senior Member and Chair of the Federation of Canadian Artists. A dedicated advocate for the Arts, Jennifer embraces opportunities to strengthen the art community and foster greater appreciation for the arts.
I strive to give permanent form to fleeting moments of grace. Favouring organic subjects, I enjoy exploring the idiosyncrasies that distinguish an individual. My devotion to studying the specific character of light and and its ability of light to transmute the quotidien into something remarkable remains constant throughout.
