There is a beauty in the innocence of children even when faced with the stark realities of modern life. Their faces glow with youth and vigour all the while experiencing the decay and distruction of others. The graffiti and dirt relay the horrific smell that must go along with such an environment. One child sports a gas mask while the other two pantomime repulsion and choking. They seem so unfazed by the world they live in with its lack of respect for public and private spaces. The public display of disgusting dirty toilets is in very poor taste and the defacing of the space and removal of all forms of privacy by others does not even cross their minds. Their joy and playfulness has not yet been tainted by our world. There is a freedom that they still have that we all should strive to remember.
