Stern tying your boat in the beautiful waters of Desolation Sound, BC is a skill-testing and magical experience. This painting was inspired by the warm, late afternoon sunlight, clear aqua waters and the intense concentration of our friend and Skipper walking the tight rope back from a perfect stern tie to secure his boat for the night. The figure and line create a cruciform composition of this moment balancing "on the edge."
