Discard Studies calls attention to the integrated presence of plastic in the natural world. These brave new landscapes challenge traditional perceptions in how we see the world. Plastic piece were everywhere. I tried to see beyond the human interference along the shoreline. Over time the plastic bits found their way into my own paintings. There can be an an absurdity to beauty; what is and what should be infuse into a new ambiguous aesthetic.
