Part of the protection series, this image depicts the fabric of protection we wrap around ourselves, a reference to the burlap used to wrap around young cedar saplings in Ontario. We hide, we wrap, we are layers of experiences, inner truths are revealed through spaces. Nurturing Mother wraps her child and the space in the centre is everything and nothing. Deep space is filled with form, there is no void. This image is a tribute to the late Debra Jones.
