About the Artwork

"Through My Bedroom Window” is a textured abstract painting in acrylic mixed media, featuring a central gray vase with intricate designs and a hint of translucent blue overpainting. The abstract floral elements on the top left emerged from sanding back an earlier iteration of the piece, along with a the sense of a vase positioned in front of a window. Marc Chagall’s quote "I had only to open my bedroom window, and blue air, love, and flowers entered with her" seemed to perfectly describe the sense of the piece.
