“Transparency”, is all about playing and experimenting with the medium. The flowing and liquid quality of alcohol ink allows me to use gravity as one of my major “techniques” and I often tilt the canvas to create a sense of direction and movement. Part of my process is to let gravity and alcohol ink “do the painting” while I watch with excitement.

“Transparency” is part of my series titled “Love Always Falls Back On Its Feet”. In each painting I deconstruct the word L-O-V-E into lines and circles in various configurations. Yet, as the “E” of love lands at the bottom right of each painting, with constancy and stability, it reminds us that “love prevails”, making this series a positive response to our challenging times.
