A childhood memory is of vacations at my grandparent’s farm in southern Saskatchewan where our family went every year during haying season. They did not have power and farmed with horses. My brother and myself would carry a basket with water and lunch to my dad who spent his entire 2-week holiday every day cutting, raking and hauling hay. He was connected to the land, and we learned to be connected too through him.

"Inspired by everyday life I try to translate it into a wordless interaction with the viewer. I get the most pleasure out of painting when I can capture a moment of emotion like a sunset, an expression or a tender moment with a person or animal."
