Lichen, moss and rocks have been on this planet long before human life and I suspect, long after we are gone. They have a timeless, foundational, boundless presence, and their varied forms, colors and dare I say, personalities, resonate with me on a basic level. Having lived on the farm all of my life, rocks have always been fascinating, and now I have the privilege of painting their portraits.
