The brilliant yellows contrasted by the incredible azure skies are always a favorite, inspiring scene for me to paint. I tend to get lost in the clouds and enjoyed very much bringing this part of the image to life.
Midway through the growing season, this canola crop looks good so far. It is very vulnerable to all kinds of weather conditions and often in need of just the right amount of moisture at just the right time. Farmers always live on the edge and wonder how things will work out come harvest time.
