C$6,550
Our first series of Canadian currency was printed in March 1935, the same day the Bank of Canada opened its doors. This series is the only one to include the $500 and $25 notes, with the $25 being the only banknote to ever showcase a "foreign scene;" Windsor Castle. It's the only currency series to print 2 sets, English and French. If you look close on the $20 banknote, you'll find the young Princess Elizabeth.
I want to continue to honor our unique, colorful history of currency and hope to spark long ago memories of our past.
