This painting was inspired by my time camping along the Denali Range in Alaska, a landscape I’ve returned to over the years. Early autumn transforms the tundra into a remarkable harmony of yellow, orange, and crimson, creating endless inspiration. I spent several days exploring the surrounding ridges and alpine lakes, searching for those quiet, fleeting moments of light that make this wilderness so unforgettable. This work reflects both the grandeur of the landscape and the sense of solitude that keeps drawing me back.
